Welcome to ‘The Cross’

The WTC office is in Brightons Falkirk. In the same building is the “Welcome to the Cross” shop selling a variety of donated as well as some new goods – it is also a good place to enjoy a tea/coffee and scone. A place to enjoy a chat with friends, or to be be quiet and listen to the Christian music.  The shop is “staffed” by local volunteers who are always available to listen and reach out to people.

THE-CROSS-CROPPED

The shop is open Mon – Fri 10.00 am -3.30pm. A craft group meet in the shop 10.30 – 12.30 on a Wednesday. The Walk for Life group meet in the shop at 2.00pm on a Sunday afternoon – we walk for an hour followed by tea/coffee and goodies!!

The quiet room above the shop is used for people who need to share personal things and prayer ministry times. Monday evening prayer meetings are held at 6pm every week. This is a time to listen to Jesus for the work of the shop.

Evening meals are held in the shop. These are open to everyone, “no charge”, donations welcome. Volunteers also meet occasionally for a meal and time to share and give thanks together for all that Jesus is doing among us.

An early evening weekly group for young people starts on 5th March 2015 – their programme will follow Jesus’ leading and be shaped by the young folks who come along.

Still Saturday is another event happening most months – it runs 10.30am – 1.30pm and is a time to relax, reflect and recharge- all are welcome to enjoy this quieter morning and then enjoy lunch together.

Other regular events are encouragement evenings for those who have been on courses and taster events “A taste of freedom” aimed at those who want to find out more about living a new life with Jesus

Please get in touch with me if you want to find out more about Central Scotland Branch – and keep looking on the website for details of other events that we will be holding throughout the year.
