December 2018 Prayer Day

This is what God is saying to WTC and to all of us involved in this work for Him. Now is the time to use these words for ourselves, to take a good look at ourselves before our Heavenly Father.

Repent get rid of our wrong reactions and our lack of trust in Him.

Trust Jesus more than ever before, more than we would have ever thought possible.

Let His Life and Light flow into us and overflow to others. Let His love bring us together in unity with one purpose in mind, to do the will of Jesus.

Are we willing to take up His challenge and to continue to use these words for ourselves and WTC. These words, (when used), are the prayer weapons God has given us to break down strongholds.

I feel it would right to let you have all of these words as there was a common thread, clearer than ever before, that has come from you all.

Blessings Maureen

Repentance before Restoration

Humble yourself before God

“Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will lift you up in Honour, Don’t speak evil against each other, dear brothers and sisters. If you criticise and judge each other, then you are criticising and judging Gods law. But your job is to obey the law, not to judge whether it applies to you. God alone who gave the law, is the judge”. James 4 v 10–12 NLT

Don’t let your own thinking lead you, humble yourself and the Lord Jesus will lead you by His Spirit.

“He hath showed thee, O man, what is good, and what doth the Lord require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God”. Micah 6 v 8 –KJ

Then there was that picture again of Esther being handed the sceptre by the king, and a wonderful amazing sense of invitation to us all to come right up to him in his throne room. The invitation at this point is primarily one of intimacy, rather than asking.

“Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good. Be devoted to one another in love. Honour one another above yourselves. Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervour, serving the Lord. Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer”. Romans 12 v 9-12

Picture: Sailing boat with a full sail but not going anywhere.

“For our present troubles are small and won’t last long. Yet they produce for us a glory that vastly outweighs them and will last forever! So we don’t look at the troubles we can see now; rather we fix our gaze on things that cannot be seen. For the things we see now will soon be gone, but the things we cannot see will last forever”. 2 Corinthians 4 verses 17 to 18

Words about getting rid of the clutter in our lives to let the love of Jesus flow from us to others.

A leopard can’t change it’s spot. If we say that about ourselves we are denying God’s workmanship. Do we want to change?

A call to listen.

“You have persevered and have endured hardships for my name, and have not grown weary. Yet I hold this against you: You have forsaken the love you had at first. Consider how far you have fallen! Repent and do the things you did at first. If you do not repent, I will come to you and remove your lampstand from its place”. Rev 2 v 3-5

Picture of a Disney castle with the words ‘’don’t be deceived’ and ‘stop being deceived’.

Focus on prayer especially about a new centre, fuel up the prayer about it

The word ‘fear’ came up – we prayed to break fear, to overcome fear. Is there a fear that needs to be identified and dealt with?

God wants us to be a holy people, there’s a need to repent, not to go with the world’s way. WTC can help people with this. Prophetic words help with your identity, who God wants you to be.

Open the eyes of my heart Lord. Wholeness Through Christ – a heart work.

Picture of clear water coming out of some rocks – a pure stream

We need God’s boldness and a lack of fear of others, or getting it wrong. As they were walking along the road, a man said to him, “I will follow you wherever you go.”

“Foxes have dens and birds have nests, but the Son of Man has no place to lay his head. He said to another man, Follow me.” Luke 9 v 58, 59

“Suppose one of you wants to build a tower. Won’t you first sit down and estimate the cost to see if you have enough money to complete it?” Luke 14 v 28.

– count the cost of following Jesus in WTC.

But Jesus replied “Foxes have dens to live in, and birds have nests, but the Son of Man has no place even to lay his head.” He said to another person “Come follow me.” Luke 9 v 58,59

“So Moses returned to the Lord and said, ‘Alas, this people has sinned a great sin; they have made for themselves gods of gold. But now, if you will only forgive their sin—but if not, blot me out of the book that you have written.’ But the Lord said to Moses, ‘Whoever has sinned against me I will blot out of my book. But now go, lead the people to the place about which I have spoken to you; see, my angel shall go in front of you. Nevertheless, when the day comes for punishment, I will punish them for their sin.’’ Exodus 32:31-34

Song: Jesus take me as I am, I can come no other way

Trust Jesus

“I will guard him, and keep him in perfect and constant peace the one whose mind is steadfast ( that is committed and focused on you), in both inclination and character) Because he trusts and takes refuge in you (with hope and confident expectation) Trust ( confidently) in the Lord forever”. Isaiah 26 v 3-4 Amplified

“But thank God he gives us victory over sin and death through our Lord Jesus Christ. So my dear brothers and sisters, be strong and immovable. Always work enthusiastically for the Lord, for you know that nothing you do for the Lord is ever useless”. 1 Cor 15 v 57,58 NLT

“Go out and stand before me on the mountain, the Lord told him, and as Elijah stood there, the Lord passed by, and a mighty windstorm hit the mountain, It was such a terrible blast that the rocks were torn loose, but the Lord was not in the wind. After the wind there was an earthquake, but the Lord was not in the earthquake. And after the earthquake there was a fire, but the Lord was not in the fire. And after the fire there was the sound of a gentle whisper”. 1 Kings 19 -11-12

Word- Be still , Listen for my voice !

The following words came from different branches:

“I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my loving eye on you”. Psalm 32 v 8

Picture: A table set with all sorts of different foods, some foods I had never seen before, never mind tasted, it was overwhelming. I felt the Lord was saying, “Taste and see that the Lord is good. Happy is the person who trusts him.

“Keep yourselves in God’s love as you wait for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ to bring you to eternal life”. Jude 1 v21

“Yes, I am the vine; you are the branches. Those who remain in me, and I in them, will produce much fruit. For apart from me you can do nothing. Anyone who does not remain in me is thrown away like a useless branch and withers. Such branches are gathered into a pile to be burned. But if you remain in me and my words remain in you, you may ask for anything you want and it will be granted! When you produce much fruit you are my true disciples. This brings great joy to my Father”. John 15 v 5-8

The children of Israel were wandering in the desert, and the vote was 1,999,999 to 1 in favour of going back to Egypt. But the 1 was Moses, the leader – so they went forward.

“I tell you the truth, anyone who believes in me will do the same works I have done and even greater works because I am going to be with the Father.” John 14 v12

“Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank Him for all He has done. Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus”. Phil 4 v 6,7

“The foolishness of God is wiser than men, and the weakness of God is stronger than men”. 1 Cor 1 v25

“This Jesus I am proclaiming to you is the Messiah.” Acts 17:3

“This is the word of the LORD to Zerubbabel: ‘Not by might nor by power, but by my Spirit,’ says the LORD Almighty. Zech 4:6

“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace … “ Gal 5:22a

Jesus is the same yesterday, today and forever.

Take the Light and Life of Jesus everywhere you go

God wants to fill you with His life, but we need to ask for it, expect it and pray for it for one another. Expect God to do the miraculous.

Picture: The “Tree of Life” – the branches spread out to offer protection and comfort for all who would shelter under it.

Be a light on the hill – do not hide.

Live in my presence, glory & majesty

“You are the light of the world- like a city on a hilltop that cannot be hidden. No-one lights a lamp and then puts it under a basket. Instead a lamp is placed on a stand, where it gives light to everyone in the house.” Matt 5 v14,15

As the Father has loved me, so I have loved you.

Pray using the powerful name of Jesus.

See opportunities in everyday living

Picture of a Christmas bauble – part of purple colouring has been rubbed off, to reveal a shiny surface underneath which gives a true reflection

I put up the Christmas tree this morning and as I sat down to pray, I was reminded of a picture of a small child gazing with wonder at a bauble reflecting the lights. I have a sense that Jesus wants us to recapture that childlike wonder (where we might have lost it) – to be captivated by seeing the way his Light transforms and beautifies his creation (especially the people).

Song. “What a beautiful name”.. (especially last verse)

What a powerful Name it is
What a powerful Name it is
The Name of Jesus Christ my King

What a powerful Name it is
Nothing can stand against
What a powerful Name it is
The Name of Jesus

Song. Let there be love shared among us, let there be love in our eyes.

Words of life – emphasizing the need to speak life into ourselves and others. Words of life are often just ordinary everyday words – not always Scripture. Speaking the words of Jesus in. Jesus says I am the way the truth and the life – His words bring life. We need to speak His words into ourselves and also to others.

The valley of dry bones – Ezekiel 37: 1-14 (came a few times)

“Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord has risen upon you. For behold, darkness will cover the Earth, and deep darkness the people. But The Lord will rise upon you, and His glory will appear upon you. Nations will come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your brightness”. Isaiah 60 v1-3

‘We have a story to tell.’ Our testimony is unique and important.

“But after the three and a half days the breath of life from God entered them, and they stood on their feet, and terror struck those who saw them”. Rev 11 v 11

“For the Lord God is a sun and shield; The Lord will give grace and glory; No good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly”. Psalm 84 v11

“Becoming fruitful as we allow Jesus within to change us – fresh fruit always”. Ezek 47 v1-12

Picture of string of pearls – all different but all linked with a common thread – Jesus.

Picture – a team working together to fulfilll God’s purpose.

Paul wasn’t stopped by opposition – he was willing to move on. Acts 17

“As the Lord had commanded his servant Moses, so Moses commanded Joshua, and so Joshua did; he left nothing undone of all that the Lord had commanded Moses” Josh 11 v15

“So Joshua took the whole land, according to all that the Lord had spoken to Moses; and Joshua gave it for an inheritance to Israel according to their tribal allotments. And the land had rest from war.” Josh 11 v23

God says that He will bring us into full bloom. ‘And no-one will be able to stop me!’

“This says the Lord ‘Maintain [persevere with] justice and do righteousness, for my salvation is about to come, and my righteousness to be revealed”. Is 56 v1 Amp.

“But forget all that, it is nothing compared to what I am going to do, for I am about to do something new. See I have already begun, do you not see it? I will make a pathway through the wilderness. I will create rivers in the dry wasteland”. Is 43 v 18,19 Amp

“Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord has risen upon you. For behold, darkness will cover the Earth, and deep darkness the people. But The Lord will rise upon you, and His glory will appear upon you. Nations will come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your brightness. This is a promise that better things will come for WTC” Isaiah 60 v 1-3
